it’s definitely a classy-looking hunk of home-office cabinetry, but the price tag makes me wince. I know people who could probably do something similar, minus the Vintage Distressed Cigar Leather (to hell with tobacco, I’m smoking PURE COW from here on out!), for cheaper.
then again, I’ve never cared much for the furniture that holds up my computer. right now it’s a folding table from Wal-Mart that I’ve had since 2005. plenty of leg room underneath. surface is cheap plastic easily repairable with vinyl tape. i got a little mini-shelf underneath, a cd-shelf sorta thing, to hold up my external hard drive. I’d rather get a 20 dollar folding table and use the other couple-thousand for a swanky computer. or better still: folding table, cheap computer, netbook, ipod touch, and several hundred bucks left over for software or dumping into my savings account.
akshully, I just described my current electronics arsenal. redundant net-accessing/gaming/media-playing gizmo.
yeah, crazy price tag. and definite something one could make. i use a fold up table for an art table. not crazy about cheap computer furniture.
